HomeMy Public PortalAbout12829O R D I N A N C E NO. 12829 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand
Dollars ($215,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of
storm sewers in Louwen Drive Storm Channel (2007110), in the City of Ladue,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL
Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One
Hundred Ninety-four Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-seven Dollars ($194,487.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Twenty
Thousand Five Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($20,513.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Dollars
($215,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Louwen Drive Storm Channel (2007110), in the City
of Ladue, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Louwen Drive Storm Channel (2007110), in the City
of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of January
2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take
effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
