HomeMy Public PortalAbout12836O R D I N A N C E NO. 12836 AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for implementation of pump station rehabilitation in St. Louis Flood Protection System – Pump Stations Evaluation (2006109); and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter an agreement with the Corps of Engineers for the aforesaid implementation of pump station rehabilitation. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12429, adopted May 10, 2007, appropriated the initial funding for the St. Louis Flood Protection System – Pump Station Evaluation and authorized a contract with CH2M Hill, Inc. for design, and WHEREAS, the District plans to take advantage of the federal economic recovery funding available to the Corps of Engineers. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for implementation of pump station rehabilitation in St. Louis Flood Protection System – Pump Stations Evaluation (2006109). Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter an agreement with the Corps of Engineers for the aforesaid implementation of pump station rehabilitation in St. Louis Flood Protection System – Pump Stations Evaluation; said contract to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 12, 2009.
