HomeMy Public PortalAbout12838O R D I N A N C E NO. 12838 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($560,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot West Sanitary Relief Phase II (90023A) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. for the construction of said sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Hundred Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($509,816.00), and the earmark for construction charge orders and other project expenses is Fifty Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars ($50,184); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($560,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot West Sanitary Relief Phase II (90023A) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot West Sanitary Relief Phase II (90023A) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of February 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 2009.
