HomeMy Public PortalAbout12839O R D I N A N C E NO. 12839 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell Hills Sanitary Rehabilitation Phase II (89146), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is One Million Seven Hundred Forty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-four and 40/100 Dollars ($1,744,784.40), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Fifty-five Thousand Two Hundred Fifteen and 60/100 Dollars ($155,215.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell Hills Sanitary Rehabilitation Phase II (89146), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Bissell Hills Sanitary Rehabilitation Phase II (89146), in the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of February 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 2009.
