HomeMy Public PortalAbout12840O R D I N A N C E NO. 12840 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Seven Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,775,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River Bonfils to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural Bridge #12499 Sanitary Sewer Replacement (2008072), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc., for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the sanitary sewer construction is One Million Six Hundred Ninety Thousand Four Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($1,690,416.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eighty- four Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-four Dollars ($84,584.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Seven Hundred Seventy- five Thousand Dollars ($1,775,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River Bonfils to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural Bridge #12499 Sanitary Sewer Replacement (2008072), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Natural Bridge #12499 Sanitary Sewer Replacement (2008072), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of February 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 2009.
