HomeMy Public PortalAbout12841O R D I N A N C E NO. 12841 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Ravensridge and Laclede Station Storm Sewer (2007119), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Bros. Sewer & Const. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Thirty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-four Dollars ($35,924.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Thousand Seventy-six Dollars ($4,076.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Seminary Branch of River Des Peres to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Ravensridge and Laclede Station Storm Sewer (2007119), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Bros. Sewer & Const. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Ravensridge and Laclede Station Storm Sewer (2007119), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of February 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 9, 2009.
