HomeMy Public PortalAbout12849ORDINANCE NO. 12849 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6,600,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief-Phase I (89157), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Six Million Two Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand and 50/100 Dollars ($6,297,130.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Nine and 50/100 ($302,869.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief-Phase I (89157), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-15 McKelvey/R.R. to Adie Sanitary Relief-Phase I (89157), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of March 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 14, 2009.
