AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used
for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Suffolk #7719 Storm Sewer (2005135),
in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Heartland Construction & Excavating for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty-Three
Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Two and 50/100 Dollars ($43, 932.50) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project costs is Five Thousand Sixty-Seven and 50/100
Dollars ($5,067.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Suffolk #7719 Storm
Sewer (2005135), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Suffolk #7719 Storm Sewer (2005135), in the City of Shrewsbury, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of March 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 14, 2009.
