HomeMy Public PortalAbout12854ORDINANCE NO. 12854 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($143,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bon Oak Drive Storm Sewer (2001046), in the City of Dellwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($129,220.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($13,780.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Forty-Three Thousand Dollars ($143,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Jack Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bon Oak Drive Storm Sewer (2001046), in the City of Dellwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Bon Oak Drive Storm Sewer (2001046), in the City of Dellwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th Day of March 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 14, 2009.
