AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($5,150,000.00) from the Caulks Creek Construction Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of sanitary force main sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek
"A" (P-750) Phase IV, Section B (93077C1), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Four Million Eight Hundred
Ninety-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-Nine and 75/100 Dollars ($4,899,489.75), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred Fifty
Thousand Five Hundred Ten and 25/100 Dollars ($250,510.25), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($5,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Caulks Creek Construction Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary force main sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P
Caulks Creek "A" (P-750) Phase IV, Section B (93077C1), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for project costs for the
construction of sanitary force main sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek "A" (P-
750) Phase IV, Section B (93077C1), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 21st day of April 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
