HomeMy Public PortalAbout12861ORDINANCE NO. 12861 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Separate Sewer Area - Inflow/Infiltration Reduction Projects (Eva Wabash Rehabilitation) (2003081A), in the Cities of Berkley, Hazelwood, and Kinloch, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the aforesaid rehabilitation. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Two Million Two Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Two Dollars ($2,272,682.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen Dollars ($127,318.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Separate Sewer Area - Inflow/Infiltration Reduction Projects (Eva Wabash Rehabilitation) (2003081A), in the Cities of Berkley, Hazelwood, and Kinloch, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Separate Sewer Area - Inflow/Infiltration Reduction Projects (Eva Wabash Rehabilitation) (2003081A), in the Cities of Berkley, Hazelwood, and Kinloch, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of April 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
