HomeMy Public PortalAbout12863ORDINANCE NO. 12863 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety-Six Thousand Dollars ($96,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Pottle Ave. Pump Station Elimination (2007157), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Eighty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Six Dollars ($87,406.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Four Dollars ($8,594.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Ninety-Six Thousand Dollars ($96,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Pottle Ave. Pump Station Elimination (2007157), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Pottle Ave. Pump Station Elimination (2007157), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of April 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
