HomeMy Public PortalAbout12864ORDINANCE NO. 12864 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($830,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-07 Gravois Creek to Stonell Dr. Sanitary Relief (SKME- 519) (90028) in the City of Lakeshire, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Six and 61/100 Dollars ($773,866.61), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project Costs is Fifty-Six Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Three and 39/100 Dollars ($56,133.39). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($830,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-07 Gravois Creek to Stonell Dr. Sanitary Relief (SKME-519) (90028) in the City of Lakeshire, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in GC-07 Gravois Creek to Stonell Dr. Sanitary Relief (SKME-519) (90028) in the City of Lakeshire, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 1st Day of April 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
