HomeMy Public PortalAbout12865PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 12865 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,300,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relief Phase II (90032A), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Three Million Nine Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-Four Dollars ($3,971,934.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Twenty-Eight Thousand Sixty-Six Dollars ($328,066.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relief Phase II (90032A), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Gravois Trunk (Whitecliff to RDP) Sanitary Relief Phase II (90032A), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 2nd day of April 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
