HomeMy Public PortalAbout12866ORDINANCE NO. 12866 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($610,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Williams Ave. - Big Bend to Bredell Combined Sewer Relief (2000097), in the City of Maplewood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Five Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars ($558,479.00), and the allowance for construction change orders other project expenses is Fifty-One Thousand Five Hundred Twenty- One Dollars ($51,521.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($610,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Williams Ave. - Big Bend to Bredell Combined Sewer Relief (2000097), in the City of Maplewood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Williams Ave. - Big Bend to Bredell Combined Sewer Relief (2000097), in the City of Maplewood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of April 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
