HomeMy Public PortalAbout12873ORDINANCE NO. 12873 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Spring Valley #1370 Storm Sewer (2007243), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Forty-Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars ($49,763.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars ($5,237.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Spring Valley #1370 Storm Sewer (2007243), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Spring Valley #1370 Storm Sewer (2007243), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of March 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
