AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($1,950,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
associated with the Lower Meramec River WWTP Site Preloading Phase II (95066P) in
unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. for site preloading and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for site preloading and storm sewer construction is One
Million Eight Hundred Forty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($1,847,000.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project costs is One Hundred Three Thousand Dollars
($103,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,950,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs associated with the Lower Meramec River WWTP Site Preloading Phase II
(95066P) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the Lower Meramec River
WWTP Site Preloading Phase II (95066P) in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th of May, 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 11, 2009.
