AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($255,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the CIPP
rehabilitation and sanitary sewer construction in Orchard Lane to Geyer Road Sanitary Relief
(2004067), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Michels Pipe Services, Div. of Michels Corp. for the aforesaid CIPP rehabilitation
and sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said CIPP rehabilitation and sanitary sewer construction
is Two Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Nine Hundred Two and 60/100 Dollars ($233,902.60)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-One
Thousand Ninety-Seven and 40/100 Dollars ($21,097.40), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($255,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the CIPP rehabilitation and sanitary sewer construction in Orchard Lane to Geyer Road
Sanitary Relief (2004067), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Michels Pipe Services, Div. of Michels Corp. as the lowest responsible bidder for the CIPP
rehabilitation and sanitary sewer construction in Orchard Lane to Geyer Road Sanitary Relief-
(2004067), in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th
of May, 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 9, 2009.
