HomeMy Public PortalAbout12909ORDINANCE NO. 12909 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eight Thousand Dollars ($108,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Maylor Drive Storm Sewer (2000058), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Ninety-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Three and 50/100 Dollars ($97,783.50), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Ten Thousand Two Hundred Sixteen and 50/100 Dollars ($10,216.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eight Thousand Dollars ($108,000.00), is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Maylor Drive Storm Sewer (2000058), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Maylor Drive Storm Sewer (2000058), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of May, 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 9, 2009.
