HomeMy Public PortalAbout12927ORDINANCE NO. 12927 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur (L-52) Force Main Improvements (2003062B) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Million Nine Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Two Dollars (4,994,902.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Five Hundred Five Thousand Ninety-Eight Dollars ($505,098.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur (L-52) Force Main Improvements (2003062B) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Creve Coeur (L-52) Force Main Improvements (2003062B) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of June, 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 2009.
