AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-One Thousand Dollars ($31,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Fountain Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Washington #1760 Storm Sewer
Phase II (2003125A), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with B & G Utilities, LLC for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Twenty-Seven
Thousand Eight Hundred One Dollars ($27,801.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project costs is Three Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars ($3,199.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT
Section One. The sum of Thirty-One Thousand Dollars ($31,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Fountain
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Washington #1760
Storm Sewer Phase II (2003125A), in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
B & G Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Washington #1760 Storm Sewer Phase II (2003125A), in the City of Florissant, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of June, 2009
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 13, 2009.
