AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Nine
Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($158,931.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of North Affton and Thirty-One Thousand Sixty-Nine Dollars ($31,069.00)
from the Stormwater Facilities Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm
sewers in Menola Storm Sewer (99100), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Concrete Strategies LLC for the construction of
the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is One Hundred
Seventy-Two Thousand Three Hundred Eight and 18/100 Dollars ($172,308.18), and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seventeen Thousand Six
Hundred Ninety-One and 82/100 Dollars ($17,691.82), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty-Eight Thousand Nine Hundred
Thirty-One Dollars ($158,931.00), is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of North Affton and Thirty-One Thousand Sixty-Nine Dollars
($31,069.00) from the Stormwater Facilities Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of storm sewers in Menola Storm Sewer (99100), in Unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Concrete Strategies LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
Menola Storm Sewer (99100), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 7the day of July, 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 10, 2009.
