HomeMy Public PortalAbout12985ORDINANCE NO. 12985 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Three Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Burton to Argyle Storm Sewer (2006103), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Ninety Five Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Two Dollars ($295,972.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty Nine Thousand Twenty-Eight Dollars ($29,028.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Three Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($325,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Burton to Argyle Storm Sewer (2006103), in the City of Overland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Burton to Argyle Storm Sewer (2006103), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 26th day of October 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 2009.
