AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be
used for project costs for construction of storm sewers in Chantal Lane #1122 Storm Sewer
(2008193), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. for the aforesaid construction of storm
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Twenty-Five Thousand
Two Hundred Forty-Seven and 32/100 Dollars and ($25,247.32) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-
Two and 68/100 Dollars ($2,752.68.), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
University City to be used for project costs for construction of storm sewers in Chantal Lane
#1122 Storm Sewer (2008193), in the City of Olivette, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for construction of storm
sewers in Chantal Lane #1122 Storm Sewer (2008193), in the City of Olivette, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of October 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 2009.
