HomeMy Public PortalAbout12989ORDINANCE NO.12989 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Lake Village Storm Improvements (2008049), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. for the aforesaid storm and sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm and sanitary sewer construction is Two Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($237,916.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Twenty-Two Thousand Eighty-Four Dollars ($22,084.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Watkins Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Lake Village Storm Improvements (2008049), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Archway Contracting of St. Louis, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers in Lake Village Storm Improvements (2008049), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of October 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 2009.
