HomeMy Public PortalAbout12993ORDINANCE NO. 12993 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Wismer - Leslie Storm Sewer Phase II (2006162A), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating for the aforesaid storm sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-Nine and 50/100 Dollars ($116,339.50) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eighteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty and 50/100 Dollars ($18,660.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Wismer - Leslie Storm Sewer Phase II (2006162A), in the City of Overland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Heartland Construction & Excavating as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Wismer - Leslie Storm Sewer Phase II (2006162A), in the City of Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of October 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 10, 2009.
