HomeMy Public PortalAbout13013ORDINANCE NO. 13013 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($5,050,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase III Section B (90080B), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the Cities of Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Four Million Seven Hundred Forty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy and 65/100 Dollars ($4,744,970.65), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Three Hundred Five Thousand Twenty-Nine and 35/100 Dollars ($305,029.35), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Million Fifty Thousand Dollars ($5,050,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Sanitary Relief Phase III Section B (90080B), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the Cities of Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Upper Maline Trunk Phase III Sanitary Relief Section B (90080B), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the Cities of Ferguson and Jennings, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of November 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 14, 2010.
