HomeMy Public PortalAbout13033ORDINANCE NO. 13033 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ten Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($10,700,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Argonne Sanitary Relief (SKME-501) Phase I (2003060A), in the Cities of Crestwood, Kirkwood and Oakland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. for the aforesaid sanitary sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Nine Million Nine Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety-Seven Dollars ($9,995,897.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Seven Hundred Four Thousand One Hundred Three Dollars ($704,103.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Ten Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($10,700,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Argonne Sanitary Relief (SKME-501) Phase I (2003060A), in the Cities of Crestwood, Kirkwood and Oakland, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Co., Ltd. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Argonne Sanitary Relief (SKME-501) Phase I (2003060A), in the Cities of Crestwood, Kirkwood and Oakland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of November 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 2, 2010.
