HomeMy Public PortalAbout13035ORDINANCE NO. 13035 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($13,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion (Digester Rehabilitation) (2006168B), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Twelve Million Three Hundred Thirty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($12,339,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Million One Sixty-One Thousand Dollars ($1,161,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($13,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion (Digester Rehabilitation) (2006168B), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Bros. Const. Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Missouri River WWTP Secondary Treatment Expansion (Digester Rehabilitation) (2006168B), in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of December 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 2, 2010.
