AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road Sanitary Relief
Phase I (2000083A), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is One Million Three Hundred
Eighty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($1,389,000.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Eleven Thousand Dollars ($111,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road
Sanitary Relief Phase I (2000083A), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Brookton Way to Meramec Bottom Road Sanitary Relief Phase I (2000083A), in
Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day
of December 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 11, 2010.
