AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($5,550,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2010) (2009064)
in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Five Million
Two Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand Five Hundred Thirty-Three Dollars ($5,278,533.00), and
the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Two Hundred Seventy-
One Thousand Four Sixty-Seven Dollars ($271,467.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Five Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($5,550,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation)
(FY2010) (2009064) in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers
in Infrastructure Repairs (Rehabilitation) (FY2009) Phase II (2008128B) in the City of St. Louis
and St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of
December 2009.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 11, 2010.
