HomeMy Public PortalAbout13039ORDINANCE NO. 13039 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($980,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Paddock Creek Sanitary Relief (SKME-206) (Rehabilitation) (2003111A) in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Nine-Two Dollars and 30/100 ($882,292.30), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Ninety-One Thousand Seven Hundred Seven and 70/100 Dollars ($91,707.70), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($980,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Paddock Creek Sanitary Relief (SKME-206) (Rehabilitation) (2003111A), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Paddock Creek Sanitary Relief (SKME-206) (Rehabilitation) (2003111A) in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of November 2009. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 11, 2010.
