AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars
($180,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Milentz-Kingshighway to Gravois Manhole Rehabilitation (2004072), in the City
of St. Louis Missouri, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company,
Inc. for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Hundred Sixty-Two
Thousand Fifty Dollars ($162,050.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and
other project expenses is Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($17,950,00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of Milentz-Kingshighway to Gravois Manhole Rehabilitation (2004072), in the City
of St. Louis Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Milentz-
Kingshighway to Gravois Manhole Rehabilitation (2004072), in the City of St. Louis Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of January 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 2010.
