AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-Four Thousand Dollars ($84,000.00)
from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Daisy Lane 9400 Block Storm
Sewer (2007258), in unincorporated St. Louis County,; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Lamke Trenching & Excavating, Inc. for the aforesaid storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Seventy-Six Thousand
Six Hundred Dollars ($76,600.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Seven Thousand Four Hundred Dollars ($7,400.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighty-Four Thousand Dollars ($84,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Gravois
Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Daisy Lane 9400 Block
Storm Sewer (2007258), in unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Lamke Trenching & Excavating, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Daisy Lane 9400 Block Storm Sewer (2007258), in unincorporated St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day of January 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 2010.
