AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars
($910,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower
Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Upper) (SKME-420A) (2006046A), in the City of Town &
Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Eight Hundred
Forty Six Thousand Five Hundred Two Dollars ($846,502.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders is Sixty Three Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars
($63,498.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($910,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of
the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Upper) (SKME-420A) (2006046A), in the City of
Town & Country, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary
sewers in Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Upper) (SKME-420A) (2006046A), in the City of
Town & Country, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of
January 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance being an appropriation ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 11, 2010.
