HomeMy Public PortalAbout13063ORDINANCE NO. 13063 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Three Thousand Dollars ($103,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Stacy Drive Storm Sewer (99068), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Ninety Three Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five and 40/100 Dollars ($93,345.40) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Nine Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Four and 60/100 Dollars ($9,654.60), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The sum of One Hundred Three Thousand Dollars ($103,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Stacy Drive Storm Sewer (99068), in the City of Olivette, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Stacy Drive Storm Sewer (99068), in the City of Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th Day of January 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 8, 2010.
