HomeMy Public PortalAbout13069ORDINANCE NO. 13069 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase IV (88088A) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Nine Hundred Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-One and 28/100 Dollars ($911,721.28), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Eighty Eight Thousand Two Hundred Seventy Eight and 72/100 Dollars ($88,278.72). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase IV (88088A) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with XL Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in FF-02 Fee Fee - Alan Shepard I-270 Sanitary Relief Phase IV (88088A) in the City of Maryland Heights, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd day of March 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2010.
