HomeMy Public PortalAbout13073ORDINANCE NO. 13073 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Dollars ($123,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be used for project costs for construction of storm sewers in Forsythia - Grandview Storm Sewer (2007096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the aforesaid construction of storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is One Hundred Eleven Thousand Four Hundred and 05/100 Dollars and ($111,400.05) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Eleven Thousand Five Hundred Ninety- Nine and 95/100 Dollars ($11,599.95). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Dollars ($123,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be used for project costs for construction of storm sewers in Forsythia - Grandview Storm Sewer (2007096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for construction of storm sewers in Forsythia - Grandview Storm Sewer (2007096), in the City of Olivette, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 3rd day of March 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2010.
