AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($5,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Webster Groves Trunk “E” Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I
Reduction Phase I (2003095A) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Four Million
Eight Hundred Eighty-Nine Thousand Three Hundred Four and 60/100 Dollars ($4,889,304.60),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Two Hundred
Sixty Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Five and 40/100 Dollars ($260,695.40), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($5,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Webster Groves Trunk “E” Sanitary
Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase I (2003095A), in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of
sanitary sewers in Webster Groves Trunk “E” Sanitary Rehabilitation and I/I Reduction Phase I
(2003095A) in the City of Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 17th day of March 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2010.
