AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Five Thousand Dollars
($405,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the Bissell
Point WWTP Chimney Repairs Phase II (2005097A), in the City of St. Louis Missouri, and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gerard Chimney Company for the aforesaid
construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is Three Hundred Twenty Five
Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($325,900.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Seventy Nine Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($79,100.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Five Thousand Dollars ($405,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
Bissell Point WWTP Chimney Repairs Phase II (2005097A), in the City of St. Louis Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gerard Chimney Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the Bissell Point WWTP
Chimney Repairs Phase II (2005097A), in the City of St. Louis Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 16th day of April 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
