AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
equipment procurement of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements - Medium Voltage
Switchgear (2003061E), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Central Electric Co. for the equipment procurement of the aforesaid
treatment plant improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the equipment procurement of said treatment plant
improvements is One Hundred Seventeen Thousand Four Hundred Twelve Dollars
($117,412.00), and the allowance for equipment procurement change orders is Seven Thousand
Five Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars ($7,588.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($125,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the equipment procurement of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements - Medium
Voltage Switchgear (2003061E), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Central Electric Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the equipment procurement of the Grand
Glaize WWTP Improvements - Medium Voltage Switchgear (2003061E) in the City of Valley
Park, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of April 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
