HomeMy Public PortalAbout13084ORDINANCE NO. 13084 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($740,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Lower) (SKME-420) (2006046B), in the City of Town & Country and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Six Hundred Seventy Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($674,316.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Sixty Five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars ($65,684.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($740,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Lower) (SKME-420) (2006046B), in the City of Town & Country and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mason Valley Sanitary Relief (Lower) (SKME-420) (2006046B), in the City of Town & Country and Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of April 2010. Section Three. This ordinance being an appropriation ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
