AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars
($275,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements - Splitter Box Modifications
(2003061D), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Haberberger, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid treatment plant
improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said treatment plant improvements is
Two Hundred Forty Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-Four Thousand Dollars
($249,974.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is
Twenty Five Thousand Twenty-Six Dollars ($25,026.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars
($275,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of the Grand Glaize WWTP Improvements - Splitter Box
Modifications (2003061D), in the City of Valley Park, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Haberberger, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Grand Glaize
WWTP Improvements - Splitter Box Modifications (2003061D) in the City of Valley Park,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 31st day of March 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
