AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in
Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IV (2007169), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the
rehabilitation of the aforesaid combined sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sewers is Forty Nine Thousand Nine
Hundred Ninety-Nine and 99/100 Dollars ($49,999.99), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project costs is Five Thousand and 01/100 Dollars ($5,000.01), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation
of combined sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IV (2007169), in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized
on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern
Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of combined
sewers in Sewer Improvements in St. Louis City Parks Phase IV (2007169), in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 26th day of March 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
