AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars
($570,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Schoettler Sanitary Relief (SKME-018) (2003115), in the City
of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Metro
Utilities, LLC for the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said construction is Five Hundred Nineteen Thousand
Seven Hundred Twenty-Two Dollars ($519,722.00), and the allowance for construction change
orders and other project expenses is Fifty Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-Eight Dollars
($50,278.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($570,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Schoettler Sanitary Relief (SKME-018) (2003115), in the City
of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Metro Utilities, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Schoettler Sanitary Relief (SKME-018) (2003115), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of April 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 2010.
