AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase III (10555), in
unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. under Contract 10415 for the
construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Six Million
Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Five Dollars ($6,377,365.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred
Twenty-Two Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars ($422,635.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars
($6,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A,
Phase III (10555), in unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc. under Contract 10415 as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of sanitary sewers in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section A, Phase III (10555), in
unincorporated St. Louis County and the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 8th day of June 2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 12, 2010.
