HomeMy Public PortalAbout13131PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 13131 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of rain gardens in Cornell Ave. #8360 Storm Sewer (Rain Gardens) (10559), in the City of University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with DJM Ecological Services for the construction of the aforesaid rain gardens. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said rain gardens is Forty Nine Thousand One Hundred Thirty Eight and 82/100 Dollars ($49,138.82), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Five Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty- One and 18/100 Dollars ($5,861.18), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Black Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of rain gardens in Cornell Ave. #8360 Storm Sewer (Rain Gardens) (10559), in the City of University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with DJM Ecological Services as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of rain gardens in Cornell Ave. #8360 Storm Sewer (Rain Gardens) (10559), in the City of University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 13th day of July, 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 16, 2010.
