HomeMy Public PortalAbout13140ORDINANCE NO. 13140 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,200,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in UR-07 Bon Hills Sanitary Relief Phase II (Rehabilitation) (10481) in the Cities of Olivette and University City, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is Two Million Forty Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand and 50/100 Dollars ($2,040,176.50), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Fifty Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-Three and 50/100 100 Dollars ($159,823.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,200,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in UR-07 Bon Hills Sanitary Relief Phase II (Rehabilitation) (10481), in the Cities of Olivette and University City, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in UR-07 Bon Hills Sanitary Relief Phase II (Rehabilitation) (10481) in the Cities of Olivette and University City, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of August, 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 14, 2010.
