HomeMy Public PortalAbout13146ORDINANCE NO. 13146 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Liberty Avenue Storm Sewer Improvements (10251), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc., for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two Hundred Thirty Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-One Dollars ($238,861.00), and the allowance for construction change orders and other project costs is Twenty One Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars ($21,139.00). WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($260,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of University City to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Liberty Avenue Storm Sewer Improvements (10251), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J. H. Berra Const. Co., Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Liberty Avenue Storm Sewer Improvements (10251), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of September 2010. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2010.
