AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eleven Million Nine Hundred Thousand
($11,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of sanitary sewers in the Lemay WWTP Wet Weather Expansion Outfall Sewer
(10683), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with SAK Construction, LLC for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Ten Million
Eight Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($10,875,000.00), and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project costs is One Million Twenty Five Thousand Dollars
($1,025,000.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eleven Million Nine Hundred Thousand
($11,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in the Lemay WWTP Wet Weather
Expansion Outfall Sewer (10683), in Unincorporated St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
SAK Construction, LLC as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers
in the Lemay WWTP Wet Weather Expansion Outfall Sewer (10683) in Unincorporated
St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of September
2010.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 2010.
